A life in
six strings.
I started playing the guitar at an early age and studied briefly at the Conservatoire de Toulouse. My early life took me to many wonderful places, but the guitar always stayed close by.
At university I read aerospace engineering, but I also was the first ever subsidiary student to enter the music faculty and perform a highly acclaimed recital as part of the engineering degree. It was during my first year at university that I recorded Sunburst, an album of compositions of the Americas.
I was blessed by being coached by many excellent teachers, but none as great as the world renowned Carlos Bonell, who I later had the privilege of performing alongside and sharing the stage.
Later on I completed my studies at the Koblenz International Guitar Academy under the spectacular maestro Aniello Desiderio, from whom I truly learned the art of music.
I have travelled the world, given concerts, played in exquisite churches and performance halls, given classes, and I have always sought to perfect this magnificent gift. Along the way I was a prize winner at several international guitar competitions, including winning first prize at the Belgium Guitar Competition.
Today I am working on recording my next album, Baroque & blues, featuring music from these two very special eras.

Other styles & bands
Though my heart belongs to the classical guitar, my musical journey has never been confined to one world. I have spent years playing rock, blues, and jazz, performing in bands and on stages where amplifiers roared louder than concert halls.
From electric guitar in rock bands to improvising over blues progressions, those experiences shaped my musicianship in ways that pure classical study never could. They taught me groove, spontaneity, and the raw energy of connecting with an audience through sound.
I still pick up the electric guitar regularly, and I bring that breadth of perspective into my teaching — showing students that technique and expression are universal languages, whether the setting is a cathedral or a club.
